Powerpoint should include a minimum of 15 slides and a maximum of 25 slides. Use color, pictures, animation, or clip art to emphasize points and create interest. 1. Title Slide: Include bylines for a title page of a manuscript. 2. Introduction: Introduce the purpose and main points of the presentation. Engage viewer’s interest and attention. 3. APA reference: Select three professional nursing journal articles related to nursing theory. Articles may deal with the same or different theories. Write the reference for each article in correct APA format. Reference should precede the summary of each article. 4. Summary: Briefly summarize the major points of entire article. Include: a. purpose b. overall content c. general conclusions made in the article. 5. Relation of theory to research/practice: This should contain two major parts: a. relation of theory to research/practice as identified in the article b. relation of theory in the article to 1). your area of practice 2). nursing in general 6. Conclusion: a. Summarize main points of the presentation. b. Draw conclusions as to the importance of the information contained in the three articles to nursing.
