Read the introduction and brief biography of Dagoberto Gilb on pp.420-427 of your text. Then read: How Books Bounce, Love in L.A., and Shout. You must read all three stories first. Then choose one of the three stories and write a reaction paper (500-750 words). Your paper should be 12 font, Times New Roman, double-spaced, MLA style, with in-text citations and a Works Cited page. At a minimum, your reaction paper must address the following:
- A brief summary of the piece
- Identify the key theme of the story and explain how the plot illustrates that theme (Use citations)
- Explain any association you can make from your life with the text
- Did the text cause any emotional arousal within you? Explain
- Would you recommend the piece to others? If so, who? Why? If not, why?
