Food History Essay
Below you will find a selection of food activist organizations’ websites in Oregon and Ecuador. Look through several of them, then find a website of a food activist organization outside of Oregon or Ecuador. Be sure to include the URL. What problem within the food system are they primarily trying to address? What kinds of images and strategies do they use? Given what you’ve learned this term, how might you advise them? In this global world it is often necessary to process material that is not in your language. True, this is less common for English speakers, but it gives you a parallel experience to what most people in the world have to do. Check out sites in other languages and see how you can translate them online if you are not familiar with the language.
