Introduction The success of an organization is achieved by strategic leadership. Strategic leadership is defined as a person’s ability to anticipate, maintain flexibility, have vision, think strategically, and work with others to bring about a successful change for the organization. Strategic managers are skilled at anticipating events that have potential to impact the organization; selecting the right markets to complete; developing a strategy; developing a team of employees; identifying leaders for the teams; implementing goals and the means to reach them; and being a good communicator.

It’s crucial to develop a vision statement and a mission statement for the organization. A vision statement is a declaration of what a company would like to achieve or accomplishment. A mission statement clearly and concisely states your purpose and how you provide value to your consumers or customers. Knowing what you do, how you do it, who you do it for, and what value you provide is a crucial starting point. Knowing who you are and what you do will put you on a solid place to stand and help determine how to best make strategic decision that affect stakeholders.

  • Describe the best approach for doing this. Be specific.

  • Is it possible to meet the interest of all stakeholders? Why or why not?

  • Is it possible to meet the interest of some without affecting others negatively? Explain your viewpoint in detail.

  • Ask a probing question.

  • Share an insight from having read your peer’s post.

  • Offer and support an opinion.

  • Validate an idea with your own experience.

  • Make a suggestion.
